Our herbal remedies are made with fluid extracts, these are concentrated herbal solutions that use high alcohol content to pull the chemical constituents out of the herb. Fluid extracts are the strongest herbal preparations you can get, therefore you don't have to use much, so for most pets you give fewer drops.  Because of the herbal content they don't have a nice taste, so adding to food is best.  If you are worried about the alcohol content, you can put the remedy in warm to hot water to start with, this will burn off the alcohol content.

Recommended Feeding Guidelines

Spring comes in a liquid form; this is the easiest way to administer it to animals. It can be put straight into the mouth of the animal, making sure not to contaminate the dripper. You can do this by adding the drops to a teaspoon, lifting the lip, and place in the mouth. But we realise this is not always an option. So you can add the drops to their food, which is just as effective.

Fluid extracts are the most potent herbal preparations you can get. Therefore, you don't have to use much, so you give fewer drops to most pets. However, because of the herbal content, they don't have a pleasant taste, so adding them to food is best. Because this remedy has a herbal content, how much you give will depend on the animal's size.

After the 5 days, what happens next?

The recommended dose is 3 times daily for 5 days.  So what happens next?  Usually, 1 of 3 things will happen, we have listed them below with instructions on what to do next.

  1. After 5 days, the itching will stop, so you can stop the remedy and reuse it when it flares up again.
  2. After 5 days the itching has reduced but not gone completely.  Keep using the remedy till the itching has stopped, then you can wean them off it.  For example, if you have been using 3 times daily, do 2 times daily for 4 days, then once daily for 4 days, then every second day etc.  You can stop the remedy at any time.
  3. If there has been no relief from the remedy at all, then it is not the grasses and pollens that your pet is allergic to, so you need to look at other causes.  We can help you with that.
